About Peggy Mayfield
Meet your Representative

Peggy Mayfield and her husband Dean live in Martinsville, Indiana. They have 4 sons, Christopher, Andrew, Austin, and Michael, and are members of St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church in Martinsville.

The Mayfields have owned and operated Mayfield Insurance in Mooresville for over two decades. The company was established in 1921 and employs a staff of 12. Peggy and her family have been very active in the Boy Scouts of America. She serves on the Executive Board of Hoosier Trails Council, Boy Scouts of America, is a member of the Order of the Arrow, and the recipient of the District Award of Merit. Peggy is a state skeet shooting champion and NRA certified rifle and shotgun instructor, and hunter. She has also coached a youth clay target program.

In addition to being a small business owner, Peggy Mayfield served 6 years as Morgan County Clerk. Elected to Indiana's House of Representatives in 2012, Peggy served on Elections and Apportionment, Judiciary, and Insurance committees in the 2013 session and the Census Data Advisory Interim Study Committee. During the 2014 session Peggy served on Ways and Means and Judiciary committees and the Interim Study Committee on Public Safety and Military Affairs. In her first term Representative Mayfield authored 7 bills that became law.

The Mayfields have been a host family to 8 exchange students from around the world through programs such as Rotary International Youth Exchange. Two of her sons have also studied abroad. Peggy is a certified skydiver and SCUBA diver. She also enjoys hunting, shooting, fishing, and spending time with her family and local Boy Scout Troop.
